Worn to be Wild was off the chain!!!

Thank you MPLS!!! For making our event at Vs Social Standard in Uptown a big success. Thanks to everyone who attended and everyone who worked with us to make it happen. The place was packed for most of the evening, then the dance floor got crazy. The beverages flowed, the djs rocked, and we sold a big chunk of our new line. Run…don’t walk, to VS in Uptown to see what’s left and going fast.

Big up to Denis Jeong : www.ProPhotojournalist.com for the party photos!

Poster Offensive 4

Join Anthem Heart and several other top poster designers in the Twin Cities at the Black Dog Cafe in St. Paul on Friday, August 29th to celebrate Poster Offensive 4. Coinciding with the 2008 GOP Convention in St. Paul, Poster Offensive is a non-partisan poster show dedicated to the promotion of peace and democracy. Plus, if the last three shows are any indication it will be a wild party.

Ken created an amazing poster which is a 5-color homage to Warhol’s portrait of Richard Nixon with “Vote McGovern” scrawled at the bottom. Instead of writing the corresponding “Vote Obama” at the bottom of our portrait, we decided to appropriate and incite the chant of “4 More Years!” to illuminate the obvious continuum of the devastating Bush years, through the election of McCain. If you liked Bush, vote McCain!

We also helped our friend Robb Harskamp print his sweet poster!

Freedom of Speech

Our poster and a few others were displayed on KARE 11 this evening in a segment about the show opening this weekend. Sorry about the crappy video quality. I only have rabbit ears at home ;)

The show itself opens August 15th and runs through September 9th with the opening reception and party on the 29th. After that it will travel to this side of the river and be at the Frank Stone Gallery on October 3rd through October 12th with an opening reception and party on October 3rd.

Participants include: Aesthetic Apparatus (Dan Ibarra and Mike Byzewski), Todd Bartz, James Boyd Brent, Ross Bruggink, Anchalee Chambundabongse, Eighthourday (Katie Kirk and Nate Strandberg), Jamey Erickson, Dennis Evert and Ken Hannigan of Anthem Heart, Peet Fetsch, Dale Flattum, Robb Harskamp, Ben Hribar, Miss Amy Jo, Steve Jockisch, Craig Johnson, Jeff Johnson, LandLand (Dan Black and Jes Seamans), studio ON FIRE (Ben Levitz), Lovely Mpls (Jamie Paul and Kevin Hayes), Steve Marth, Justin Martinez, Patrick Maun, Aaron Melander, Sam Michaels, Bill Moran, Kelly Munson, Sarah Nelson, Sarah Osborn, Ben Pagel, Aaron Pollack, Andy Powell, Adam Ramerth, John Reichel, Lucas Richards, Scott Shore, Alexandra Stancevich, Andrew Voss, Jack Wilcox, Charles Youel.
